Neuigkeiten aus Bali

Hallo zusammen,

Touristisch sieht es in Bali nicht so gut aus, die ersten Hotels wie z.B. Putri Bali ( Nusa Dua) sind in Finanznot geraden und zu meiner Überraschung ist das Bali Cliff Hotel bankrott.
Wir waren die letzten drei Wochen in Benoa, wenn man dort die schlecht oder gar nicht besuchten Restaurant sieht dann stimmt das alles sehr traurig aus.
Japaner, Koreaner und Chinesen sind schon in großen Massen unterwegs, aber diese Art von Touris bleiben ja höchstens eine Woche auf Bali.
Ein bekannter Hotelmanager sagt mir das auch die Weltmeisterschaft Bali sehr viele Besucher gekostet hat.
Mitte/Ende Juli konnte man einen leichten Aufwärtstrend erkennen und gewisse Geschäfte waren in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal mit Ihrem Umsatz zufrieden.

Man kann nur hoffen, dass es ende des Jahres weiter aufwärts geht.

Das ist ein leidiges Thema ! ;)
Ich kann wiederum von SEHR GUT besuchten Hotels in Nusa Dua
berichten ( SHERATON, WESTIN, GRAND HYATT etc. ) ...
In Seminyak konnte ich keine 5 Nächte im RESORT SEMINYAK buchen,
weil es "completely booked" war !

Auch bezgl. Restaurants gibt's die GUT besuchten wie das LA LUCCIOLA ...
Dort muß man sich immer noch einen Tisch reservieren lassen,
weil's so proppenvoll ist ...

Natürlich gibt es auch weniger gut besuchte Hotels und Restaurants,
aber bei den zahlreichen Alternativen (!!!) wundert es einen auch nicht ! ;)

Merkwürdig......Mein Freund auf Bali geht es im Moment nicht gut, er hat keine Arbeit, weil seine Anstellung im Hotel nur auf Hochbetrieb konzentriert. Er hat mir ein SMS geschickt und mittgeteilt, dass auf Bali sehr wenig Touristen lauern....Ich denke in grossen bekannten und luxuriösen Hotel läuft zurzeit besser als in kleinen Hotels...

Hallo Garuda,
ich kann dir berichten, dass zur Zeit in Bali nicht grad die Hoelle los ist, aber auch nicht zu wenige Touristen sind! Selbst in den Hotels im Norden sind zur Zeit viel mehr Gaeste als erwartet.
Im Tanah Lot Tempel ist abends beim Sonnenuntergang richtig was los! Auch der Bratantempel ist jeden Tag gut besucht.
Die gaengigen Kneipen in Kuta sind immer voll.

Per sms erreichen uns Nachrichten aus Kuta Lombok, dass das kleine Fischerdorf recht gut besucht sei. Natürlich kommen die Urlauber meist eher für ein paar Tage nach Kuta Lombok und es findet stets ein Wechsel statt. Ich freue mich dennoch zu hören, dass z.B. das Tastura Hotel mal ein paar Tage voll belegt war. :hüpf

Damit es keine Mißverständnisse gibt:
Ich behaupte nicht, daß Bali touristisch boomt wie nie zuvor,
aber es macht für mich auch wenig Sinn,
das Einzelschicksal diverser Hotels als Kriterium zu nennen.

Lt. Werbebroschüre aus der Region Karangasem gibt es
in Candi Dasa und Manggis 52 " Hotels ".
Darunter FIRSTclass Residenzen wie das AMANKILA und
sehr nette Bungalows wie im FAJAR,
doch WIE sollen alle Unterkünfte über eine befriedigende Auslastung
sprechen können ?
SO VIELE TOURISTEN waren vielleicht in den 80iger Jahren auf Bali,
aber nicht zeitgleich und überall stapelweise !

Und die Einzelschicksale, die hinter der Schließung div. Hotels stecken,
können wir eh nicht beeinflussen.
Das gleiche gilt für die unzähligen Restaurants,
die oft erschreckend schlecht besucht sind !
In Candi Dasa war in dem wirklich exzellenten KUBU BALI
( toller Fisch ! ) abends kaum ein Mensch zu sehen,
und in dem nur 15 min entfernten Padang Bai war das KERTI brechend voll !

Ich sehe hinter den "Einzelschicksalen" - wie Du es nennst - 100te balinesische Familien, die ihre finanzielle Basis verloren haben.

Insofern ist es nicht das Schicksal der Hotels sondern die einer breiten Schicht von Menschen, die dort durch ihre Arbeit Reis und Wohnung verdient haben.

Diese Familien stehen jetzt vor dem absoluten Nichts.. Mehr als Vollbeschäftigung können die gastronomischen Einrichtungen, die jetzt noch gut besucht, sind nicht bieten. Und da liegt die Kapazitätsgrenze bei der Anzahl der Betten bzw. der Tische in einem Restaurant. Es ist nun nicht so, dass diese Betriebe das Auffangen könnten, was bei anderen Betrieben an Arbeitsplätzen verloren ging.

Auch die Dorfgemeinschaften dürften bei der jetzigen Situation schlichtweg überfordert sein. Die viele Not könne sie nicht mehr ausgleichen. Und ein soziales Sicherungssystem gibt es nunmal in Indonesien nicht.

Liebe Freunde!

Ich denke für uns alle Indonesienliebhaber ist klar, dass viele Schicksale einzelner Menschen hinter niedrigen Touristenzahlen stehen. Das ist es ja was viele von uns wohl manchmal traurig stimmt.

Gerade Heike ist für mich ein Paradebeispiel für eine Reisende, die auf ihre Art die Menschen dort unterstützt. Sie fliegt mehrmals im Jahr nach Bali, konsumiert dort und sie unternimmt auch Anstrengungen, soziale Unterstützung für Kinder und Familien zu geben.

Die Anreisezahlen in Bali, lieber Gregor, die du uns in deiner Grafik zeigst, sind doch recht angestiegen, im Vergleich zu den letzten Jahren, oder sehe ich das falsch? Insofern sind sicher dass schon viele Rupiahs ausgegeben werden für Essen, Unterkunft und Souvenirs. Meint ihr alle nicht auch?

Was ich damit sagen will, dass ich schon auch versucht bin, die Situation ganzheitlich zu sehen. Bali ist doch auch ein beliebtes Ziel für einheimische, Arbeit zu suchen. Und Hotels werden laut Angaben von Mitgliedern auch so manche neue gebaut.

Wenn ich das solcherart betrachte, dann kann das schon sein, dass es - so wie wohl früher auch - auch Hotels und Lokale gibt, die weniger gut ausgelastet sind.

Die Indonesier haben - soweit ich das von Kuta Lombok kenne - ein privates Netz, das die untersützt, die wenig haben. Die Besitzerin vom Raja, in dem zuletzt ein Anschlag verübt wurde, hat alle Mitarbeiter weiterhin unterstützt und sie nicht sich selbst überlassen. Ich weiss - nur ein Beispiel - aber ein gutes. :-)

Ich freue mich zu sehen, dass die Ankunftszahlen so hoch sind wie sie sind! Wahrlich!

Hallo, liebe Petra,

da interpretierst Du etwas in die Statistik hinein, was nicht so ist. Der Juli 2006 war der schlechteste Juli seit 2003. Und das ab dem Jahr 2000 gemessen.

Im Juli letzten Jahres waren über 37.000 Besucher mehr in Bali, als in diesem Jahr. Also absolut kein Grund zum jubeln.

Hallo in die Runde!
Alle, die bisher etwas zu diesem Thema gesagt haben, bringen eine spezisifische Sichtweise ein und haben absolut Recht.

Deshalb von mir noch in aller Kürze eine weitere Sichtweise.
Auf Bali gab es, wie in vielen anderen Reisedestinationen der sogenannten 3. Welt, eine touristische Boomphase in den 90iger Jahren. In dieser Zeit wurden Infrastruturkapazitäten (spricht Hotelbetten und Restauranttische) geradezu aus dem Boden gestampt. Es war wie ein Goldrausch und jeder wollte daran teilhaben. Wie nach jedem Rausch folgt irgendwann der Kater. Auf Bali kam der Einbruch wegen der Anschläge plötzlich und dramatisch.
Das ändert aber nichts daran, dass ein Überangebot besteht, vor allem an qualitativ nicht zeitgemäßer Infrastruktur. Dieses Überangebot wird wieder abgebaut werden - durch Pleiten.
So schmerzhaft das für die balinesischen Familien ist, so wenig ist es zu verhindern.
Die einzige Chance bestünde in einer völlig neuen Tourismusplanung und -ausrichtung sowie einem modernen Marketing. Davon ist Indonesien meilenweit entfernt und ohne neue Köpfe an der Spitze der zuständigen Behörden wird sich meines Erachtens daran auch nicht viel ändern.

Entschuldige - ich habe mich unklar ausgedrückt - wenn ich den Anstieg der Besucherzahlen im letzten Jahr bis jetzt betrachte, dann ist der Anstieg in/an sich ein für mich positiv zu betrachtender. Sollte so rüberkommen. Schnell schreiben sollte ich doch nicht.

Das Argument von Matthias klingt auch recht einleuchtend, muss ich sagen. Interessanterweise wird in Kuta Lombok auch gerade ein neues Hotel gebaut und das obwohl die meiste Zeit im Jahr viele Zimmer leer stehen.

Übrigens schaue ich mir gerne in den Lokalzeitungen die Urlaubsdestinationen für jetzt und für Dezember an. Thailand ist sehr stark vertreten und zumeist, Bali finde ich eher selten im Angebot. Wie sind eure Beobachtunge diesbezüglich?

Hotelbaumaßnahmen: Ich finde das absolute Idiotie was sich in Indonesien (ist ja
nicht nur Bali) auf dieser Ebene tut. Noch vor meiner Rückreise nach Deutschland
am 14. Dez. 2004 hat die Bezirksregierung in Denpasar erlassen, dass es künftig
keine Genehmigungen mehr in Touristiksektor im Bezirk Denpasar geben wird.
Zumindest diesbezüglich war ich einmal zur rechten Zeit in Bali. Mit meiner
Genehmigung kann ich auch ein Hotel errichten, in dem Lernwillige innerhalb
einer Frist z.B. ein Zertifikat als Microsoft </font>®
<font face="Verdana" size="2">Professional erwerben können. Ich brauche das nur
anzubieten. Ob es die Gäste dann machen, steht auf einem ganz anderen Blatt.</font></p>
<p align="justify"><font face="Verdana" size="2">Nun kommt letztes Jahr eine
Frau Megawati als frühere Präsidentin und lässt eine ganze Zeile von
Strandrestaurants in Sanur platt machen, um dort ein neues Hotel zu bauen.</font></p>

Hallo Petra,
Thailand und Indonesien/Bali sind als Tourismusdestinationen m. E. überhaupt nicht zu vergleichen. Während Thailand trotz Tsunami eine Boom erlebt, gehen die Zahlen in Indonesien zurück. Anschläge werden von Menschen eben anders wahrgenommen als Naturkatastrophen.
Außerdem: Thailand ist von Deutschland bequem non-stop zu erreichen. Die Flugzeit nach DPS inklusive des Zwischenaufenthaltes ist um 5 Stunden länger. Das schreckt viele ab.
Dazu kommt die liberale Einreisepolitik Thailands gegenüber der VoA-Praxis Indonesiens.

Vor allem aber: Thailand ist ein Tropen-Bade-Paradies mit perfekter Infrastruktur. Bali bietet im Vergleich nur durchschnittliche Strände. Der klassische Badeurlauber ist in Thailand auf jeden Fall besser aufgehoben. (ich weiß, dass es da andere Meinungen gibt, aber ich lasse mich davon nicht abbringen ;-)

So sehr mein Herz auch an Bali hängt:
Das Argument von Matthias ( B E Q U E M L I C H K E I T )
ist wirklich unschlagbar !!!
Und "wir Baliinfinzierten" müssen schon zugeben,
daß es für " 3 Wochen ungetrübten Badespaß "
( klingt irgendwie arg seltsam ! ) andere Ziele geben kann.

Die Anreise beginnt ja schon mit der Zugfahrt nach Frankfurt ... ;)
Trotz günstig gelegener Anschlußflüge bin ich summa summarum
bald 30 Stunden unterwegs,
bis ich in nach der laaangen Reise in Candi Dasa eeeendlich
meine müden Knochen wieder ausstrecken kann !

DAS ist ein wichtiger Grund für Sommer 2007:
Die lange Anreise wird durch einen 14tägigen Bade-Urlaub in Thailand
verkürzt, bevor der Weiterflug gen DPS angegangen wird !

Hallo Heike,
genauso haben wir es schon oft gemacht. Auf der Hinreise Srrandurlaub in Thailand und auf der Rückreise noch ein paar Tage Bangkok (für uns immer noch / immer mehr die schönste Stadt Südostasiens). Das beste daran: Die Flugkosten erhöhen sich meistens nicht, da zum Beispiel bei Thai oder Royal Brunei Stopps auf Hin- und Rückreise kostenlos sind.

Hallo zusammen

habe heute mit meinen Freunden in Lovina telefoniert. Auch wenn es im Süden scheinbar noch relativ ruhig ist, der Norden boomt. Seit Juli sind alle größeren Hotels komplett ausgebucht. Das Puri Bagus z. B. bis über Weihnachten. Auch die Homestays machen gute Geschäfte.
Auch ich persönlich habe auf einmal sehr viele Anfragen.
Der Tourismus scheint sich etwas zu verlagern.
